Although she did not see herself in economics as a child, but rather in some more creative fields such as fashion design or acting, Magda Milas is today one of the leading experts in financial technology and blockchain, as well as one of the founders and president of the association Alice in Blockchains, whose mission is to increase the number of women in the fintech and blockchain sectors through financial education, networking, and providing equal opportunities.
In a new episode of Lider’s podcast with journalist and host Sandra Babić, she spoke about her professional journey from a tourism worker, banker to a fintech expert. She revealed why women are reluctant to enter the world of financial technology, why they are less inclined to take risks and invest in, for example, the crypto market, and in which direction it is moving. Milas also shared her views on personal development, revealed what she regrets, but also why it is important for her to push her own boundaries, for which her hobbies are ideal. Namely, she has been engaged in free diving since childhood, and when she is not near the sea – she flies, as she is a proud holder of a sports pilot license.
