Mohamed Alabbar, founder and chairman of Eagle Hills Group, expressed his confidence in the Croatian economy and the continuous development of the country, particularly within the tourism sector, and announced his readiness for further investments. According to a statement, Eagle Hills is already present in the tourism sector in Croatia, owning the hotel group Bluesun, and the latest major investment relates to the acquisition of the hotel company Sunny Hvar, which Alabbar highlighted as one of the largest investments in the region. Currently, a procedure is underway at the Competition Protection Agency regarding the request for the merger of Eagle Hills, Sunny Hvar, and Sunny Hvar Properties.
– Regarding the acquisition of Sunny Hvar, we understand that this is a long-term process that requires strict compliance with regulations, which we fully respect, and we believe that we will ensure the integrity of our transaction through this process. As we have proven in our previous management of tourism companies in Croatia, we are particularly committed to developing quality and open cooperation with the local community, taking care of the systematic and sustainable improvement of the quality of the tourism offer and the entire destination. Hvar, as the flagship of Croatian tourism and one of the most beautiful islands in the world, undoubtedly deserves such an approach – said Alabbar, emphasizing that he believes that ‘the company’s investments will bring significant and lasting value to the local economy and the entire community’.
