The average price of purchased arable land in the Republic of Croatia in 2023 was 4,440 euros per hectare, which is 740 euros more than in 2022, according to preliminary data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS) on the prices of certain categories of agricultural land – arable land, meadows, and pastures.
Statistics show that in 2023, the average price of purchased meadows was 2,464 euros per hectare, which is 95 euros more than the previous year, while the average price of pastures was 3,102 euros or 190 euros more.
The DZS explains that the data on the prices of purchased agricultural land were taken from the records of real estate transactions of the Tax Administration and that the data are collected exclusively for agricultural land used for agricultural purposes.
As they state, the values of any structures on agricultural land and inter-family transfers are excluded from the prices.
