A new season of our action ‘Counting Trucks’ is underway! While some count tourists, we count trucks with goods for export, which are significantly more important for the national economy than the export of services, a fact that is completely overlooked in public.
Kraš is the leading confectionery manufacturer in Southeast Europe, notable for integrating all three confectionery technologies – cocoa products, biscuits and wafers, and candies. Just over half of the total production is sold on the domestic market, while the rest is exported to numerous foreign markets. It is present on almost all continents, in more than 35 countries around the world.
– With the increase in exports to countries in Western and Central Europe, Kraš traditionally exports to countries in the region, such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, and Serbia, but it is also highly oriented towards overseas countries, such as the United States, Canada, and Australia – where 128 containers with various products from Kraš’s rich assortment were delivered in just the first six months of this year – said Kraš representatives.
Kraš is also present in the Middle East, where Nougat cubes are extremely popular in Saudi Arabia, and they have been sold in that market for 45 years.
Generally, as an export-oriented company, Kraš Group generates a significant portion of its revenue from international markets, achieving sales of over 20,000 tons of products abroad during 2023.
