The Croatian Energy Market Operator (HROTE) has announced a public tender for the allocation of a market premium to encourage the production of electricity from renewable energy sources for solar power plants, wind farms, and hydroelectric power plants, with planned support funds for this tender amounting to 257.2 million euros.
The tender is open until June 27 of this year. Its goal is to allocate operational support to promote the production of electricity from renewable energy sources to facilitate the development of economic activities and activities in the energy sector and to protect the environment.
Support is granted in the form of a market premium for installations with an installed capacity greater than one megawatt (wind farms, solar power plants, and hydroelectric power plants up to and including 10 MW) – ‘Measure One’.
Support is also granted for installations with an installed capacity greater than 200 kW up to and including one megawatt, installations with an installed capacity greater than 200 kW up to and including six MW, if the projects are wholly owned by small and medium-sized enterprises or renewable energy communities, and wind farms with an installed capacity greater than 200 kW up to and including 18 MW if the projects are wholly owned by micro or small enterprises or renewable energy communities (wind farms and solar power plants) – ‘Measure Two’.
The total quota for the allocation of support amounts to 607.25 MW, for ‘Measure One’ 417.25 MW (wind farms 60 MW, solar power plants 350 MW, and hydroelectric power plants 7.25 MW) and for ‘Measure Two’ 190 MW (wind farms 90 MW, solar power plants 100 MW).
