According to the results of the Effie Index 2024, which evaluates effectiveness based on the results of national Effie competitions, whose awards were presented in Croatia last year at the Communication Days in Rovinj, the title of the most effective agency in Croatia was awarded to the agency Utorak, which is also the nineteenth most effective independent agency in Europe. The most effective brand in Croatia in 2023 was declared to be Meralys, while the title of the most effective advertiser went to Jadran Galenski Laboratorij. The title of the most effective group in the world last year went to Omnicom, and the most effective agency network was awarded to McCann Worldgroup.
The Effie Index ranks the most effective companies based on the results of over 50 national Effie Awards competitions spanning 125 markets worldwide. This year, there were over 4750 finalists and winning entries from global, regional, and national Effie Awards competitions held between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023.
On the list of highlighted results for Croatia, the following were recognized as the most effective in marketing communication according to the results of last year’s Effie Awards Croatia competition:
- Utorak, PHD, Imago Ogilvy, Val Grupa Komunikacije, Bruketa&Žinić&Grey, Dentsu, Algebra, Ascanius Media, Drap, and the Economic Institute in the category of the most effective agencies
- Utorak, Val Grupa Komunikacije, Algebra, Ascanius Media, Drap, the Economic Institute, PINK MOON, Rational International, RTL Hrvatska, and Šanavala in the category of the most effective independent agencies
- PHD, Ogilvy, Grey Group, Dentsu International, EssenceMediacom, McCann Worldgroup, Real Grupa, BBDO Worldwide, Pro Media Group, and OMD in the category of the most effective agency networks
- Omnicom, WPP, Interpublic (IPG), and Dentsu in the category of the most effective groups
- Meralys, Mastercard, Studena, Argeta, Jana Ice Tea, Ledo, Raiffeisen Bank, Addiko Bank, A1, and Croatia osiguranje in the category of the most effective brands and
- Jadran Galenski Laboratorij, Mastercard, Fortenova grupa, Atlantic grupa, Raiffeisen Bank, Adris grupa, Heineken, IKEA, Kraš, and Volkswagen in the category of the most effective advertisers.
At the global level, the most effective advertiser, brand, group, agency network, agency, and independent agency were declared to be AB InBev, McDonald’s, Omnicom, McCann Worldgroup, AlmapBBDO, and GUT.
