New BalCannes Report: A creative overview of the region with the best advertisers and agencies published

After the winners of the BalCannes competition were announced, which gathered the best of creativity from five countries in the region at the Communication Days, important results of this major creativity competition are gathered in one place in the BalCannes Report 2024. Agencies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Serbia could compete in a rich array of 17 categories in which they usually compete in the market for campaigns conducted during the two-year qualification period, where it was possible to win a gold, silver, or bronze award.

The importance of the BalCannes report – besides creatively uniting the region and encouraging healthy competition, exchanging knowledge and experiences, as well as opening regional horizons, thus becoming a true mosaic of creativity in the region – lies precisely in the fact that it is a great mirror of current trends in the regional communication scene, as well as the market, on as many as 47 pages.

Winners of the BalCannes 2024 competition

Let us remind you that at the Communication Days in Rovinj, the Grand Prix was awarded to Jazavac and Utorak and the Hemofarm Foundation for the project The Most Important Call in Life. The title of the best agency from the five countries of BalCannes went to Imago Ogilvy, and the best advertiser was the Hemofarm Foundation! The special Editor’s Pick Award, selected by representatives of the professional media from the region, went to Studena and the agency Imago Ogilvy for the project EVERYBODY GUC GUC.

Content of the regional report

The report includes rankings of the best projects, advertisers, and agencies in the region, as well as rankings within individual countries. It is also important to highlight that the Report shows – with rankings by rank, not alphabetically – how the jury of advertisers thinks, as well as how the projects were rated by jury members from agency ranks, and it provides insight into the views of representatives of the professional media in the jury. In the chapter BalCannes Hall of Fame, it gives a more detailed overview of projects that, according to competitive categories, won gold, silver, and bronze, as well as special BalCannes awards.
