EFZG Announces Enrollment Competition for a New Generation of Students in University Specialist Studies

The Faculty of Economics at the University of Zagreb has announced a competition for the enrollment of a new generation of students in university specialist studies for the academic year 2024/2025.

The competition is valid for the following studies:

  • Economics of the European Union
  • Financial Institutions and Markets
  • Information Management
  • Insurance and Reinsurance
  • Organization and Management
  • Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Management
  • Business Management – MBA
  • Legal and Economic Framework of Business in the European Union
  • Statistical Methods for Economic Analysis and Forecasting
  • Strategy and Corporate Governance
  • Strategic Entrepreneurship
  • Real Estate Market
  • Quality Management
  • Export Management
  • Management of Financial Institutions
  • Management of Organizations and Projects in Culture

Conditions for enrollment in the university specialist study:

1. Completed university master’s study or integrated university undergraduate and master’s study, which earns 300 ECTS credits and the academic title of university master of economics or another university master’s study in the field of social, humanities, or other sciences, or completed undergraduate university study, which earns the professional title of graduate economist or another undergraduate university study in the field of social, humanities, or other sciences.

2. Exceptionally, a person who has completed a professional master’s study, which earns 300 ECTS credits and the professional title of master of economics or another professional master’s study in the field of social, humanities, or other sciences, may enroll in the university specialist study, subject to passing differential exams determined by the Faculty, provided they have at least five years of work experience in the field of study.

3. Average grade of 3.5 achieved during all levels of study. If the candidate has a lower average, it is necessary to submit recommendations from two university professors.

4. Knowledge of at least one world language.

Applications are accepted until September 30, 2024.

The application must include:

1. Certified copies of diplomas from all levels of study based on which enrollment is made.

2. Certified transcripts of grades from all levels of study based on which enrollment is made.

3. Two recommendations from university professors (if the average grade in the study/studies was lower than 3.5).

4. Citizenship certificate – original, certified copy, or electronic record from the Citizenship Register.

5. Birth certificate – original, certified copy, or electronic record from the birth register.

6. Proof of knowledge of one world language.

7. Curriculum vitae.

8. Decision of the organization regarding the payment of tuition fees (if the tuition is paid by a legal entity).

9. Students applying for enrollment based on completed professional master’s studies are required to provide proof of work experience – electronic record from the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute and a confirmation from the employer indicating the job position.

10. A candidate who has not completed a university master’s study or integrated university undergraduate and master’s study, which earns 300 ECTS credits, or another university master’s study in the field of social, humanities, or other sciences, or completed undergraduate university study or another undergraduate university study in the field of social, humanities, or other sciences, or professional master’s study, outside the Republic of Croatia must submit a decision from the Commission of the University of Zagreb for the academic recognition of foreign higher education qualifications.
