Slovenian Perutnina Ptuj has acquired the Croatian company Toni from the previous owner Antun Marodi from Donji Kraljevac. The completion of the transaction is subject to the fulfillment of prior conditions, including the approval of the Croatian Competition Agency.
Toni is engaged in organizing production, purchasing, drying, storage, and wholesale of grains to large food industries. According to data from Poslovna Hrvatska, Toni generated 24 million euros in revenue last year and 1.6 million euros in profit, employing 26 people.
Perutnina Ptuj is the leading food company in Slovenia and Southeast Europe, employing over 4,600 people. It specializes in the production of poultry meat and poultry products and manages vertically integrated production, controlling every stage from land processing to product distribution.
Ownership control of Perutnina Ptuj is held by MHP Europe Limited in Cyprus and is part of the international group MHP, which is a significant producer and exporter of chicken and grain producer in Ukraine. Perutnina Ptuj already owns the chicken producer Perutnina-Ptuj Pipo in Čakovec in Croatia.
The consulting firm Grubišić & Partneri Corporate Finance announced that they were the exclusive financial advisor to the seller in the transaction.
