Nexi Croatia is part of the Nexi Group, a leading payment group in Europe, and another company from the IT industry that has obtained its first Employer Partner certificate this year. They have confirmed the connection, purpose, and quality of HR practices implemented throughout the organization and at all levels. The Employer Partner certificate awarded by SELECTIO Group, the largest HR consulting group in Croatia, serves as confirmation and a signal for job positions where a healthy and supportive environment is a priority.
To meet the standards for obtaining the certificate, Nexi underwent a detailed evaluation of its HR system during which the certification team assessed employee experience in seven key areas and ten key HR topics. The standards by which HR practices were evaluated follow the well-known Employer Partner methodology, under which over 20,000 evaluations of HR systems have been conducted in Croatia and the region to date. Each year, around a hundred organizations apply for the certificate, continuously transforming more than 100 HR systems across ten markets.
Creating a responsible community
As part of the large Nexi Group, the company systematically implements sustainability principles into all aspects of its business, contributing to the EU goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050. In this regard, they have launched numerous initiatives aimed at reducing harmful carbon emissions, such as adopting energy-efficient practices, cleaning actions, and greening the environment in the local community, employee education, etc. Regular DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives are also conducted, always aiming to raise awareness and reconstruct the social ‘status quo’ regarding any form of discrimination.
– In Nexi Croatia, 60 percent of managerial positions are held by women, which is nearly three times higher than the Croatian average. One of the reasons for such a high proportion of women among leaders is the fact that the company continuously employs various tools to maintain a balance between employees’ private and professional lives – for example, we recently adopted a benefits package for new parents that, among other things, allows female colleagues returning from maternity leave to work reduced hours, receive reintegration mentoring, or take paid leave for child care during illness for both parents – emphasizes Iva Penezić, HR Director at Nexi Croatia.
