The Zadar shipping company Tankerska plovidba has decided to place greater emphasis on managing Atlantska plovidba. As stated in the supplement to the call for the general assembly to be held on June 28, Tankerska plovidba proposes the inclusion of additional agenda items. Two relate to the dismissal of the current members of the Board of Directors and the election of two new ones.
The people of Zadar propose that Marko Domijan and Pero Kulaš be dismissed, to be replaced by Mario Pavić, the head of Tankerska plovidba, and Nikola Koščica, a member of the management of the Zadar shipping company. It is worth noting that Tankerska plovidba is the majority shareholder of Atlantska plovidba, holding 64.5 percent of the shares in that company.
It began purchasing shares last year, subsequently participated in a surprise recapitalization, and at the end of 2023 made an offer to acquire all remaining shares of Atlantska plovidba at a price of 53.60 euros. After reaching the aforementioned stake, Tankerska plovidba announced at the end of April its intention to make a new voluntary offer to acquire the remaining shares.
Interestingly, Marko Domijan and Pero Kulaš accepted last year’s offer from Tankerska plovidba, which is now dismissing them. Domijan sold 3,701 shares, while Kulaš sold 1,061 shares.
As we recently reported, the company’s president Igor Bilbija, who with an 8.5 percent stake is the second largest shareholder, did not accept the offer.
