The third edition of the Croatian Economic Olympiad 2024 will be held on Wednesday, May 29, from 11 AM to 1 PM. This project encourages young high school students in economic fields to engage in extracurricular activities and apply economic theory in practice. This year, a record number of students will participate in the competition, with 193 students registered from 18 high schools across Croatia.
The Olympiad will be held online, allowing high school students to compete in the Financial Literacy Game, which lasts two hours. The game aims to teach students how to cope with ‘adult life’, specifically how to manage the impact of illness, layoffs, and similar factors on their overall financial situation.
The official announcement of the winners and a ceremonial program will take place in the second half of June.
The winning team will have the opportunity to participate in the International Economic Competition in Hong Kong in July, competing in the fields of economics, business, and finance among more than 50 countries.
