How to secure investments for projects? Which projects will banks monitor in the upcoming period and with which financial instruments? How to manage risks in the era of global shocks? How to approach credit institutions? These are questions that burden entrepreneurs, project owners, and companies, as well as other actors in the domestic market.
To get answers to these questions on June 5 and 6, the Financial Investment Forum will be held at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb, focused on the economic and investment prospects of Croatia and the region, during which the Lider Invest awards will also be presented. The Forum’s focus is on the current economic, financial, and monetary situation of countries in the region, and it will also discuss how to respond to the risks of inflation and recession, energy crises, and war conflicts. Additionally, there will be topics on investment, financing challenges, and their implementation and realization.
Answers will also be provided to questions about what entrepreneurs can expect regarding interest rates and inflation, what they need to know about transitional risks of regulatory changes, new taxes, and information security, as well as which investments have proven to be the most resilient during high inflation.
It is important to note that at the beginning of the 21st century, the Croatian economy experienced a period of particularly dynamic growth. From 2000 to 2008, it grew by 40 percent, almost twice as much as global growth during the same period. Despite this, today the growth of the Croatian economy since the beginning of the century is noticeably lower than both global and EU averages. Therefore, we will also address the question of what causes led to rapid growth and then to the lag that followed, as well as what changes occurred in the growth model between the first and second decades and their consequences for potential future economic growth.
