One Week to the 17th Job Fair: Central Theme Transformation, Open Applications for Students

The seventeenth edition of the Job Fair, organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb, the Student Union of FER, and the Student Club of Electrical Engineering (KSET), will take place from May 8 to 9, 2024, at the Mozaik Event Center (Slavonska Avenue 6/2) with the highest production level to date. The program on the first day starts at 11 a.m. with a grand opening, followed by talks and workshops, and the program lasts until 4 p.m.

This year’s Job Fair, which annually attracts over 2,500 visitors, 110 domestic and foreign companies from 15 industries will present their projects, technologies, and knowledge at over 100 booths to interested students, and visitors will also be able to enjoy 12 talks, 2 panel discussions, and 10 workshops. Notably, at the end of the first day, on May 8, starting at 6 p.m., there will also be a Loosen Up party at KSET with team competitions and free cocktails.

The central theme of this year’s Job Fair is transformation. On the first day of the fair, there will be a panel discussion on crisis management, featuring representatives from companies Atlantic, Infobip, and Syskit, who will answer questions on how to effectively respond to crises, change strategies, and make decisions in turbulent conditions, providing a comprehensive view of how organizations manage crises. On the second day of the fair, there will be a panel discussion on transformations of business models, with representatives from companies Prehnit, Codebooq, and TIS sharing successful examples in transforming business models. The second day will conclude with a rapid-fire debate on the topic “The Transformation of AI in the Future: How Will Further Development of Artificial Intelligence Affect the Job Market for Programmers?” featuring professors and students from FER.

– In discussions with industry experts, students can learn all about internship opportunities and potential employment after graduation, as well as stay informed about the latest trends in the job market – said the head of career activities, Nikolina Relić Sić, inviting all interested students to register as soon as possible as the number of places is limited.

Registration for the fair is possible via the website jobfair.fer.hr/register, where a QR code will be provided, which is the only way to enter the fair.
