A new cycle of the Kaufland Fruit and Vegetable School project has begun, through which Kaufland has been donating fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the school year to elementary school students across Croatia since 2017. Unlike previous years, Kaufland has simplified the application process this year, which no longer includes a creative task. To participate, it is enough to register your public elementary school via the web form from April 8 to April 28, 2024.
After receiving the applications, Kaufland will invite all customers to vote for the school that has applied for the competition. Namely, on the kaufland.hr/skolavip page, from May 2 to May 21, a link will be available through which customers can select the school they wish to vote for.
As in previous years, for each Kaufland store in Croatia and the logistics-distribution center, one partner elementary school will be selected, along with 6 additional public institutions that exclusively provide elementary education to children with developmental difficulties, to which their local store will donate fresh fruits and vegetables every week.
– We hope that by changing the process this year, we have made it easier for schools to apply for the Kaufland ViP School and we expect even more applications. We have been collaborating with schools for many years, raising awareness about healthy eating among parents and children, and ensuring healthy meals for schoolchildren, and so far we have donated more than 840 tons of fruits and vegetables through this project – said Marija Franić, Head of Corporate Communications at Kaufland.
All information about the project, as well as the competition rules, is available at the link kaufland.hr/skolavip
