At the recent elections for the Dean of the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, Prof. Dr. Sanja Sever Mališ has once again been entrusted with the high position of Dean. Her re-election confirms the continuity of trust from the collegial community in her expertise, dedication, and vision in leading the faculty.
Professor Dr. Sanja Sever Mališ, who is already holding this position, will assume the duties of the new term as Dean from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2027. Her continuous engagement in improving academic standards, research work, and the development of the faculty has been recognized as a key contribution to the further success of the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb.
Sever Mališ has marked her previous work at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb with exceptional commitment and achievements. With extensive experience in the field of economics and education, she has gained a reputation not only within the domestic but also the European academic community.
Sever Mališ obtained her PhD title 14 years ago (2010) on the topic ‘Internal Control Mechanisms in the Function of Quality of Financial Statement Audits’. She has also received numerous awards: the award from the Croatian Association of Accountants and Financial Experts for her undergraduate and later master’s thesis, and the ‘Mijo Mirković’ award from the Faculty of Economics – Zagreb for the book ‘Analysis of Financial Statements’.
Her professional activity spans over 20 years, covering various areas of economic theory and practice, and she has furthered her education at numerous conferences both domestically and abroad. Throughout her career, she has published over 150 scientific and professional papers in renowned journals, significantly contributing to the promotion of research work at the faculty.
