Dalekovod has secured another contract in Sweden worth 40 million euros, the company announced on the Zagreb Stock Exchange. Specifically, Svenska kraftnät, the Swedish national electricity transmission company, after an evaluation process, sent a notification that the Croatian company was selected as the most favorable bidder according to the criteria of the tender for the construction of a new 400 kilovolt power line on the section Skogssäter – Kilanda in the vicinity of Gothenburg. The total length of this section is 43 kilometers.

The project implementation includes the dismantling of the existing line and the construction of a new one, planned from May 2024 to early 2027.

With this latest engagement, Dalekovod has continued to secure contracts in Nordic countries this year. Recall that at the beginning of November last year, it signed a contract with the Norwegian investor Statnett, an electricity transmission company, for the construction of a new 420 kilovolt power line on the section Skaidi – Hyggevatn with a total length of 54 kilometers. This project continues from the successfully completed section between the substations Skillemoen and Skaidi, and is specific in that it will be built in arctic weather conditions due to its position in the far north of Norway. Just ten days later, its offer for electrical installation work on the section CB Dockasberg – Rissuden was selected as the most favorable by the aforementioned Swedish investor Svenska kraftnät. This involves electrical installation work on a new power line in the far north of Sweden at a voltage level of 400 kilovolts with a total length of 85 kilometers as part of the Aurora Line project.

Lider published an interview at the beginning of the year with Dalekovod’s Management Board member Tvrtko Zlopaša, who announced the company’s continued engagement in Northern Europe, as well as a change in the business model, in line with the dynamics of market changes. ‘Until now, we have mostly realized projects mainly with our own resources, and to a lesser extent using subcontracting companies, but with the new numerous projects planned almost simultaneously in different markets, we plan to additionally engage stronger capacities of cooperators and subcontractors along with all our capacities to ensure everything is completed on time and to the required quality,’ Zlopaša said at the time.

Zlopaša has recently received a new four-year mandate as a member of the Management Board starting on April 1, and as we reported, instead of Tomislav Rosandić, the current member of the Management Board Eugen Paić-Karega has been appointed to lead the company, also with a four-year mandate starting from April 1.
