The total industrial turnover in December 2023 increased by 14.2 percent compared to December 2022, and on a monthly basis, compared to November, it rose by 4.2 percent, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS).
The total calendar-adjusted industrial turnover in December last year compared to the same month in 2022 increased by 18.2 percent in the domestic market and by 4.5 percent in the non-domestic market.
Compared to November 2023, in December 2023, this turnover in the domestic market increased by 5.2 percent, while in the non-domestic market it fell by 1.1 percent.
According to the main industrial groupings, in December 2023 compared to December 2022, energy sales increased by 41.5 percent, capital goods by 19.7 percent, durable consumer goods by 8.5 percent, non-durable consumer goods by 7.6 percent, and intermediate goods by 6.8 percent.
On a monthly basis, by industrial groupings in December 2023 compared to November 2023, total sales of capital goods increased by 9.6 percent, durable consumer goods by 7.4 percent, and intermediate goods by 0.8 percent.
At the same time, total energy sales decreased by 6.3 percent and non-durable consumer goods by 1.7 percent.
