AD Plastik Group in 2023 operated with a loss of 1.1 million euros, significantly reducing it compared to a loss of 9.7 million euros in 2022, alongside a 17.3 percent increase in business revenues to 129.22 million euros, the company from Solin reported on Monday.
Their revenues in the EU and Serbian markets increased by 20.5 percent, thus their share in the Group’s total revenues is planned to rise to 88.3 percent. The increase in customer orders due to the normalization in supply chains and semiconductor procurement, as well as deliveries for new vehicle models, indicates the long-awaited beginning of recovery in the automotive market, according to the financial report of AD Plastik Group.
Last year’s EBITDA amounted to 7.72 million euros at the Group level and is significantly higher than that achieved the previous year, while the net loss of 1.1 million euros also represents a positive shift compared to the loss of 9.7 million euros recorded a year earlier, the report emphasizes.
Došen: Finally a Positive Turn
The CEO of AD Plastik Group Marinko Došen emphasized that after several years of uncertainty, he can finally say that a noticeable positive turn in the automotive market is evident.
– Accordingly, customer orders are also increasing, and the production of new vehicle models is starting. In the past year, we had 30 active projects, of which three have started, and for 18 of them, we expect the start of serial production during 2024. At the same time, we maximized our sales activities to better fill capacities and secure new contracts. In 2023, we secured an additional 112 million euros in new contracts, bringing the total to 317 million euros in new contracts over the last two years. This is the direction we will certainly continue in the coming periods, Došen stated.
