The eCommerce magazine is intended for online sales, marketing, and research and is yet another project of the eCommerce Association Croatia aimed at strengthening communication and cooperation among web merchants and service providers in this area.
This was stated by Marcel Majsan, president of the eCommerce Association Croatia, at an informal gathering with members and friends of the Association and media representatives held last night at the Sky Office center in Zagreb.
Majsan emphasized that the eCommerce magazine is published quarterly and is available for free download on the Association’s website, adding that full members of the Association receive a free copy of the printed edition at their addresses.
– After numerous projects we have launched aimed at increasing trust in online sales, we decided to launch the first eCommerce magazine in the region that will encapsulate the key values we promote as an Association – expertise, integrity, and trust. Gaining trust is the biggest challenge for anyone selling something online, especially for eCommerce merchants who must find ways to respond to the habits of modern online shoppers who today have more options and demands than ever – said Majsan, adding that the Association will focus this year on developing existing projects such as the eCommAwards competition, the eCommerce Academy, and the Mentorship Program, as well as the CRO Commerce conference.
The Association also hosted numerous speakers from the special edition of the magazine released at the end of last year at last night’s meetup. Their impressions and experiences were shared on a panel moderated by Dino Oreški, secretary of the eCommerce Association Croatia and digital marketing consultant, featuring merchants presented in the magazine as part of the ‘Good Stories of the Croatian eCommerce Sector’ section.
Thus, representing Švaljek Pharmacies on the panel was Laura Vranić, an online marketing and sales specialist, while Goran Peremin, a growth marketing expert, defended the colors of last year’s best webshop in Croatia, Bima Croatia. Enthusiastic Josip Vrban, owner and manager of Lumer shop, along with Bojan Diklić, a digital marketing specialist at the Healthy Food Factory, completed the panel lineup, highlighting different perspectives and areas of web store development in Croatia.
Josip Vrban humorously spoke about the development of Lumer Shop, which includes a printing house and employs eight people in addition to the webshop. As it is a T-Shirts & Merchandise Shop selling specific goods, Josip emphasized that they invest up to three thousand euros monthly in promotion and added that it has proven to be significantly more successful when they handle marketing themselves rather than hiring specialized agencies. According to him, along with the Trustprofile system they use, which provides them with a lot of useful feedback and reviews from customers, the most important remains word-of-mouth marketing coming from satisfied customers. To achieve this satisfaction, he said, good logistical support is important, and he praised the cooperation they have with the GLS delivery service.
