Siemens, a leader in the technology industry in the fields of automation and digitalization in the process and manufacturing industries, intelligent infrastructure for buildings, energy systems distribution, and smart mobility, gathered nearly 400 business partners from across Croatia at the event ‘Shaping tomorrow, today’ in Zagreb, where it presented the industrial metaverse that ensures competitive and sustainable business for companies of all sizes.
Siemens presents the industrial metaverse as a virtual world that is almost indistinguishable from reality, allowing people to work with the help of artificial intelligence, in real-time, to solve real-world challenges. The metaverse ensures collaboration among different companies and teams, regardless of their location, and thanks to this, companies will be able to develop sustainable products faster, easier, and cheaper. It is estimated that thanks to the advantages of the industrial metaverse, companies will save up to 40 percent of energy during production, up to 50 percent of the necessary materials for production, and on the other hand, increase productivity by 20 percent.
– In today’s dynamic business environment, faced with the drastic consequences of climate change, rising business costs, it is clearer than ever that no state, company, or individual can tackle all these challenges alone. However, with the help of technology, we can all transform today so that we can live better, safer, and more sustainably tomorrow. The technology we have been developing at Siemens for nearly two centuries transforms the world by bringing innovations to almost all industries. We are confident that the industrial metaverse will be one of those innovations that will shape and empower companies in the next 20 years, enhancing their efficiency, sustainability, and ultimately changing the world we live and work in for the better. Every company, no matter how big or small, wherever it is located, can enter the global market, learn, contribute, and grow. This is the common potential we have in Croatia and which we can continue to develop together through concepts like the industrial metaverse – said Medeja Lončar, CEO of Siemens Croatia at the event ‘Shaping tomorrow, today’.
A special guest at the event was Theo Papadopoulos, head of the Siemens Industrial Metaverse Lab, from whom representatives of Croatian companies had the opportunity to hear firsthand about the possibilities offered by the industrial metaverse. By connecting the real and digital worlds, Siemens empowers its clients on the path of digital transformation and achieving sustainability, Papadopoulos stated.
