The average monthly net salary per employee in legal entities in the City of Zagreb for October 2023 amounted to 1,342 euros, which is a nominal increase of 1.5 percent compared to September and 13.1 percent compared to October 2022, according to data from the City Office for Economy, Environmental Sustainability and Strategic Planning.
Compared to the average monthly salary for last October at the national level, which was 1,178 euros, the average Zagreb net salary paid for that month was higher by 164 euros.
The highest average monthly net salary in legal entities for October 2023 was paid in the extraction of crude oil and natural gas, amounting to 2,147 euros.
The lowest salary was paid in the production of leather and related products, amounting to 725 euros.
The median net salary for October 2023 was 1,153 euros, which means that half of the employees earned less and half earned more than that amount.
The average monthly gross salary per employee in legal entities in the City of Zagreb for October 2023 amounted to 1,908 euros, which is an increase of 1.5 percent compared to September 2023 and 15.2 percent compared to October 2022.
