The Austrian credit insurance company Acredia has established a new company specializing in debt collection based in Zagreb, thereby strengthening its market position in Croatia. The focus of the new company, which will be named ACREDIA Services SEE, is the purchase and management of receivables from business clients in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and North Macedonia.
The directors of the new Acredia company are Janos Kis, a long-time risk insurance director at Acredia who is very familiar with companies in the Croatian market, and Ivica Balenović, a director with nearly 20 years of experience in debt collection in the SEE region. The newly opened office will be located at Slavonska avenija 1c with a local team available to local clients, supported by the debt collection team in Austria, the statement said.
– Our team consists of experts with many years of experience in debt collection. Thus, we can offer existing and new clients the same high standard of quality as in receivables insurance – said Janos Kis, the newly appointed director of ACREDIA Services SEE.
Acredia has been active as an insurance company in the Croatian market since 2012 under the brand Allianz, and since last year it has been operating in Croatia under its direct name to strengthen its position in Croatia and be directly available to Croatian clients.
– Companies are increasingly playing the role of banks as clients need more time to pay their bills. In Europe, as many as 46 percent of companies have to wait 60 days before they receive their money. Given the unstable global economic outlook, this trend will intensify, and it will become a challenge for companies to obtain their own money in the near future – stated board member Michael Kolb.
