The SOS Children’s Village Association of Croatia has been providing a home for children without adequate parental care for 31 years. In order to provide the children in their care with the childhood they deserve, SOS Children’s Village is seeking partner companies to help them achieve this goal.
Companies have always played a key role in the nonprofit sector. By supporting humanitarian organizations, companies leave a positive mark on society, and their philanthropy positively reflects on their own business. Through donations and charitable actions, both large and small companies create a positive image of themselves in the eyes of the public. A study by Deloitte has shown that employees are significantly more likely to stay with a company if they are satisfied with the social impact of their employer. Donations to nonprofit organizations are also deductible as tax-recognized expenses, provided the donation amounts to up to 2 percent of last year’s revenue.
At SOS Children’s Village, they are aware of the positive impact that companies can have on their work, which is why the mentioned Association collaborates with its business partners in various ways. While some companies contribute in the form of financial donations, others choose to engage more actively, such as through corporate volunteering or marketing projects for the common good.
