Privredna banka Zagreb (PBZ), a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, has confirmed the quality of its HR system and has obtained the third Employer Partner certificate.

HR experts from the SELECTIO Group, a leading Croatian consulting group in human resources, particularly praised the practices in the areas of attraction and recruitment, as well as retention and employee well-being.

Career development in an inclusive and supportive environment

At PBZ, diversity is valued, equal opportunities are encouraged, and detailed selection processes tailored to specific job requirements are implemented. They have also launched programs such as the “Inclusive Manager” to recognize employees who promote inclusivity. The bank continuously improves its recruitment strategy in line with the best global practices for internal and external hiring, and implements various initiatives aimed at reaching target groups in the labor market.

All employees have access to various development opportunities, and most have utilized additional educational opportunities in the past year. Additionally, internal development programs are available: PBZ Business School, AML Academy, PBZ Women Leadership, and others.

Employee retention is achieved through care for their well-being

PBZ places significant emphasis on well-being and offers a wide range of health benefits to all employees, some of which are also provided to their family members. Through the PBZ Family Practices concept, the bank actively promotes a balance between work and private life and encourages flexible working methods. Employee satisfaction with flexible work engagements is high at 88%, reflecting the success of the initiatives that PBZ launches to create a quality working environment. The salary structure is precisely defined for all positions, and those who achieve excellent work results at PBZ are consistently rewarded.

The certification team observed PBZ’s HR system through employee lifecycle, which tracks the employee experience through seven key stages: attraction and recruitment, onboarding and development, engagement and inspiration, transformation and growth, retention and well-being, offboarding, and employee return, as well as HR strategic consulting. This evaluation for the first time equally considers two perspectives – the employer’s perspective and the employee’s perspective.
