For twelve years, the eSTUDENT team Accounting and Finance has successfully organized an essential initiative in the field of finance – Financial Week. The project lays the foundation for exceptional interaction between students and leading experts in the economic scene, providing a unique opportunity for education beyond the university program.
Through a series of lectures and interactive workshops taking place from December 11 to December 15, students are given the opportunity to gain insight into the practical side of the financial world, eSTUDENT announced.
This year’s Financial Week opens with a lecture titled “The First Year with the Euro: Yay or Nay” by the leading economist of the Croatian National Bank Vedran Šošić. The fundamental goal is to familiarize students with the economic changes that have occurred since the beginning of this year and to present forecasts for the future. The lecture will take place at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, in Hall 37, on December 11, 2023, starting at 11 AM.
On the same day, from 2 PM to 4 PM, at the PwC Croatia office, the manager for financial function transformation, Renata Pentek, will introduce students to the importance of financial literacy through a lecture and workshop on the topic ‘Developing Financial Literacy in a Digital Society’.
On Tuesday, December 12, tax experts from Mazars, Tin Martinčević and Marcela Stűrmer, will present the lecture ‘Tax Reform is Coming and New Challenges are Approaching’, showcasing changes in tax regulations that have already come into effect and those that will come into effect in the upcoming 2024 as part of current tax changes. The lecture will be held at EFZG, in Hall 36, with a planned start at 2 PM.
