On this day, exactly one year ago, ChatGPT was ‘released’ into the world, a tool based on artificial intelligence technology that has been developed for years by experts at OpenAI (and is being improved every day). In the first five days after its launch, it already had one million users, as everyone wanted to try a tool that facilitates and accelerates numerous work tasks through text generation.
For comparison, Instagram took two and a half months to reach its first million downloads, while Netflix reached the million-user mark only after three and a half years. Only, at least for now, the social network Threads surpassed ChatGPT with one million users in just one hour after launch.
The popularity of ChatGPT has not been shaken by the recent turmoil surrounding the departure and return of Sam Altman, the founder and CEO of OpenAI, to the helm of the company. This is confirmed by the latest available data showing that today it is used by more than 180 million users, while the site is visited an average of 1.5 billion times per month, with numbers growing month by month.
Thanks to ChatGPT, we have witnessed a tremendous growth in the popularity of artificial intelligence over the past year, and besides becoming an indispensable topic in business, ChatGPT has become an essential tool in almost all sectors. We decided to check how and to what extent entrepreneurs in Croatia are using ChatGPT in their businesses and how this tool assists them.
ChatGPT for Clients, but Also for Employees

—– I personally use ChatGPT for automating and performing less demanding and repetitive operational tasks such as writing emails or editing and creating texts – says Matej Dujmović, director of Primat Logistika, adding that they are currently in the process of developing a chatbot on the AI platform of ChatGPT, which will be integrated into their website to handle complaints and provide information about the products and services they offer in the market.
– I believe that in the future this AI tool will take over more and more simple and repetitive tasks, while human intelligence will be more focused on solving creative and strategic tasks – Dujmović believes.
