Total industrial turnover in September was 1.2 percent higher compared to the same month last year, and increased by 3.1 percent compared to August of this year, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS).
Total calendar-adjusted industrial turnover in September compared to the same month in 2022 increased by 1.5 percent in the domestic market, while it remained unchanged in the non-domestic market.
Compared to August of this year, in September, this turnover in the domestic market increased by 1.2 percent, and in the non-domestic market by 7.9 percent.
According to the main industrial groupings, in September, the highest annual increase was recorded in the sale of capital goods, by 13.4 percent, followed by durable consumer goods, 8.9 percent, and non-durable consumer goods, by 5.5 percent. On the other hand, energy decreased by 24.2 percent, and intermediate goods by 2.2 percent.
In September compared to August 2023, total energy sales were higher by 11.3 percent, durable consumer goods by 12.4 percent, intermediate goods by 5.1 percent, and capital goods by 1.8 percent.
At the same time, total sales of non-durable consumer goods decreased by 0.4 percent, according to DZS data.
