MBA Croatia Gala 2023: A Reflection on an Evening of True Excellence and Social Responsibility

In line with our commitment to inspiring the creation of a better society, the leadership and members of the MBA Croatia association proudly report on the successful holding of the sixth annual awards ceremony – the MBA Awards Gala. This exclusive event took place on November 24, in the beautiful setting of the Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb, as part of the traditional MBA Croatia Gala dinner.

The evening, which gathered over 150 business leaders, members of the MBA Croatia association, special guests, and supporters, was marked by the presentation of prestigious awards of unique design by academic sculptor Janko Petrović, highlighting the exceptional contributions of individuals in various fields.

This year’s awards were earned in their respective categories:

Best Manager of the Year: Lidija Karaga (CEO of Poslovna inteligencija d.o.o.)

Lidija Karaga, CEO of Poslovna inteligencija, won the award for successfully leading one of the most renowned Croatian software companies.

Businesswoman of the Year: Nina Mimica (Board Member of Studenac)

Nina Mimica, an alumnus of the American University of Management and Technology, received recognition for promoting the participation of women in top management of a rapidly growing company.

Connecting Science and Business: Prof. Dr. Jana Žiljak Gršić

Professor Jana Žiljak Gršić received the award for promoting the connection between the institution she represents and the real business sector, expressing a passion for the fusion of science and practice.

Social Contribution: Ivan Blažević

Ivan Blažević, manager and one of the founders of the Solidarna Foundation, is the recipient of the award for his persistent work and dedication to humanitarian goals.

Best Lecturer: Ivo Josipović

Ivo Josipović, the third president of the Republic of Croatia, was awarded in fierce competition among this year’s lecturers, recognized as an outstanding speaker and expert.

The ceremonial award presentation was the highlight of the evening, and the winners emphasized the significance of these recognitions and expressed gratitude for the support of their visions and goals.
