The State Bureau of Statistics (DZS) has published the first estimates of real income in agriculture for this year, predicting a 0.8 percent increase in agricultural production compared to last year, amounting to 3.3 billion euros.
Net added value is estimated by statisticians to be 1.5 billion euros, representing a 6.1 percent increase, while the value of real income in agriculture in 2023 is estimated at 1.89 billion euros, which is a decrease of 2.3 percent.
Gross added value is estimated at 1.8 billion euros, which is an increase of 5.1 percent compared to last year.
Employee compensation this year is estimated to amount to 204 million euros, which is a 15.1 percent increase compared to the previous year, according to the DZS report.
The labor input in agriculture this year has decreased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous year, and the index of real income in agriculture per unit of annual labor is estimated at 9,972 euros, which is a decrease of 10.4 percent.
The first estimate of real income in agriculture was calculated based on data obtained from DZS surveys, administrative data from the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Agency for Payments in Agriculture, Fisheries, and Rural Development.
In estimating real income, statisticians explain that the entire agricultural production is included, both on family farms and among business entities.
