Croatian Postal Bank (HPB) will hold its general assembly on December 21, where shareholders will decide on the proposal for a dividend payout totaling 5.28 million euros from last year’s retained earnings.
As the bank reported on Tuesday, each shareholder will receive a dividend of 2.61 euros per ordinary share, and the right to payment will be granted to all who are registered as owners in the SKDD computer system on December 28.
Given the current price of the share at 190 euros, the dividend yield amounts to 1.37 percent. The share will be traded without the right to dividend payment from December 27. The dividend payment date is June 24, 2024.
HPB reminds that the Government made a decision at the beginning of November regarding the amount, method, and deadlines for the payment of funds from state-owned companies to the state budget for 2023, whereby Croatian Postal Bank, in which the state holds over 60 percent ownership, is obliged to pay 30 percent of its profit after taxation from 2022.
It is worth noting that HPB Group achieved record results in 2022, but they were significantly influenced by the acquisition of Sberbank. The net profit in 2022 amounted to as much as 960.7 million kuna, but it is primarily the result of profits from a favorable purchase and the profits of the parent company. It is worth mentioning that HPB acquired Sberbank for only 71 million kuna. Additionally, the price of HPB shares increased by 13 percent in 2022.
