Končar Group, the largest Croatian net exporter, is on the verge of its third consecutive record year, as confirmed by business results in the first nine months of 2023. Consolidated sales revenue amounted to 601.1 million euros, 27 percent higher than in the same period last year. As much as 67 percent of this revenue was achieved in exports, which increased by 34 percent during this period, with the largest increase recorded in the EU market, which accounts for over 70 percent of total exports. The open order book, backlog, has increased by 45 percent.
All business segments of the Group achieved revenue and profit growth, with the transmission and distribution of electricity segment standing out in particular. In this area, Končar successfully maintains its status as a regional leader and strengthens its role as a relevant European manufacturer of high-tech products and solutions for implementing the green energy transition across the European Union.
– The reliability and trust built over decades have secured us a record amount of new orders, especially in the demanding markets of Germany, Sweden, and Austria. Backlog amounts to 1,412.7 million euros, with the noteworthy point that by the end of September, the amount of contracts expected to generate revenue next year reached 741 million euros. The achieved progress is the result of changes and activities we have initiated over the past four years, particularly adapting to market trends and needs, as well as investing in people.
