The average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities in the City of Zagreb for August amounted to 1,335 euros, which is a nominal increase of two percent compared to July and an increase of 13.7 percent compared to August 2022, according to data from the City Office for Economy, Environmental Sustainability and Strategic Planning.
Compared to the average monthly salary for August at the national level in Croatia, which was 1,163 euros, the average net salary in Zagreb paid for that month was higher by 172 euros.
The highest average monthly net salary in legal entities for August was paid in the extraction of crude oil and natural gas, amounting to 2,032 euros.
The lowest salary was paid in the production of leather and related products, amounting to 712 euros.
The median net salary for August was 1,137 euros, meaning that half of the employees earned less and half earned more than that amount.
The average monthly gross salary per employee in legal entities in the City of Zagreb for August amounted to 1,904 euros, which is an increase of 2.3 percent compared to July and an increase of 16 percent compared to August 2022.
