Coca-Cola Announces Which Beverages It Is Withdrawing, Fortenova Withdraws All Coca-Cola Beverages

Coca-Cola has announced which beverages it is withdrawing from stores in Croatia after two cases of poisoning were confirmed in Croatia, with suspicion of several more.

– In light of recent events, we are taking steps to protect public health. We are temporarily withdrawing one batch of Coca-Cola Original Taste 500ml in plastic packaging (PET) from the market according to the Oral Decision of the State Inspectorate of the Republic of Croatia, batch of Coca-Cola Original Taste, carbonated soft drink, 500 ml PET produced on October 11, 2023, with an expiration date until April 11, 2024.

Although our internal analysis did not show any irregularities in production or in the products, we have also decided to temporarily withdraw two limited batches of Romerquelle Emotion Blueberry Pomegranate 330ml in glass packaging until the official investigation is completed. These are batches produced on May 27, 2023 (with an expiration date until February 2024) and June 22, 2023 (with an expiration date until March 2024). We continue to cooperate with the relevant authorities and are taking concrete actions to protect our consumers – they announced.

Fortenova withdraws all Coca-Cola beverages from shelves

Members of the Fortenova group – Konzum, Velpro, Tisak, and Roto Dinamic have decided to independently and preventively withdraw all non-alcoholic beverages of Coca-Cola from their stores, Fortenova announced, as reported by Jutarnji.

– With the primary goal of protecting the health of our customers and all other stakeholders and a responsible approach to overall business, members of the Fortenova group – Konzum, Velpro, Tisak, and Roto Dinamic, are independently and preventively withdrawing all non-alcoholic beverages produced by Coca-Cola from their retail and wholesale network. This temporary decision of the Fortenova group will remain in effect until we receive official information about product safety and instructions for action from the relevant institutions and the manufacturer – they state in the announcement.
