If you want to take a trip to Plitvice this weekend, you can now purchase your tickets through the GetYourGuide: Travel & Tickets app, thanks to a collaboration recently initiated by Plitvice Lakes National Park with this leading global travel platform.

As explained on their website, NP Plitvice Lakes introduced an online ticket purchasing system back in 2019 as part of the Visitor Management Action Plan, aimed at ensuring that visits do not disrupt the values of the Park and allow visitors a seamless and complete experience. Therefore, a system was created with a limited number of tickets per hour and entry, more affordable afternoon ticket prices during the season, as well as lower ticket prices outside the season.

– The result is stable visitor numbers with extremely high satisfaction, as evidenced by excellent ratings on numerous platforms. This year, we are taking a step further in enhancing the visitor experience with a new partnership and positioning ticket sales on the GetYourGuide platform. Since the National Park’s ticket sales system has numerous conditions that need to be met, many partners have been involved in this integration project, working together on this connection. The goal of this collaboration is to raise travelers’ awareness of the importance of planning their trips in advance and purchasing tickets online. The planning phase plays a key role in determining the duration of visitors’ stays, and such platforms help present the wealth of offerings of the Plitvice Lakes National Park and its surroundings in a timely manner – say the Park’s management.

They add that one of the goals of this collaboration is to create new tourist products in Plitvice. In this way, different segments of visitors will have the opportunity to find products that best suit their interests and preferences, thus contributing to the diversity of experiences in the Park. “This partnership also highlights a deep commitment to sustainability. The National Park and GetYourGuide share a passion for sustainable tourism and the preservation of the natural beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage site,” they conclude.

According to Google Play, the GetYourGuide: Travel & Tickets app has achieved over 11 million installations and currently has 102 thousand reviews with an average rating of 4.6.
