Revenue from foreign tourists in the first half of the year amounted to 3.85 billion euros, which is 21.4 percent or 678 million euros more compared to the same period last year, reported on Saturday the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, citing data from the Croatian National Bank (HNB).
According to HNB data, in the second quarter, revenue from foreign tourists amounted to 3.18 billion euros, representing an increase of 18.4 percent compared to the same period in 2022, or 494.2 million euros more.
Overall, in the first half of 2023, revenue from foreign tourists amounted to 3.85 billion euros, or 21.4 percent more compared to the same period in 2022.
– After the record year of 2022 in terms of revenue from foreign tourists, we are seeing even better results in 2023. Croatia has made significant strides in quality and has become recognized as a desirable tourist destination even outside the summer months – stated the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Nikolina Brnjac.
She thanked all employees in the tourism sector for their efforts and engagement.
The government has developed a structured dialogue and partnership with stakeholders in tourism and will continue to support the quality development of Croatian tourism, said Brnjac.
