With a 14.2 percent increase in revenue, the consulting and auditing firm EY recorded one of its most successful years in its history, generating nearly $50 billion globally. As they announced, the financial year that ended in June this year was marked by investments of $3.6 billion in audit quality, innovation, technology, and people, while $1.4 billion was invested in launching the EY.ai platform.
– We are extremely proud of EY’s growth this year, which has been achieved both globally and locally, and has surpassed last year’s record results. In EY Croatia, we recorded an extraordinary growth of 18.2 percent, all as a result of continuous investment in our employees, top-notch technology, and constant efforts to improve the quality of services for our clients – said Berislav Horvat, Country Managing Partner at EY Croatia.
EY currently has nearly 400,000 employees worldwide, and one of the company’s strategic priorities is, they state, to further promote equality and create an inclusive work environment, as well as provide equal opportunities for current and future employees. In accordance with the strategic plan to achieve net-zero emissions by 2025, EY has, they say, reduced absolute emissions globally by more than 43 percent, and has been ranked as the world number one for ESG consulting services by the independent analytics firm Verdantix.
Additionally, through the corporate responsibility program EY Ripples, EY positively impacted 46 million lives just last year. Since its establishment in 2018, the program has had a positive impact on more than 127 million lives. As they stated, in the new financial year, EY will further dedicate itself to its employees, clients, and the community, with a focus on sustainability and socially responsible business.
