Aura Recognition Golden Kuna

The company Aura proizvodi d.o.o. from Buzet is the recipient of the most prestigious award for the most successful companies in Istria County – the Golden Kuna plaque awarded by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce – County Chamber of Pula. Aura won this recognition in the category of medium-sized trading companies based on its business results in 2022.

It is customary for the award to be presented at one of the award recipients. This year, the honor of hosting the award ceremony went to Destilerija Aura in Buzet.

Mišel Sirotić.

The family distillery Aura is located in Buzet, in northern Istria, where nature is particularly generous. Therefore, the diligent employees of the distillery apply the inexhaustible gifts of untouched nature in the best possible way in the production of their delicacies. Hand-picked wild herbs and fruits, in a unique old cellar in the heart of Buzet, are lovingly and skillfully transformed into exclusive brandies, liqueurs, gins, and jams prepared according to traditional recipes.

Visitors have the opportunity to get acquainted with the entire process of making products at the Aura distillery, from macerating herbs, distilling Teranina and gin Karbuna to bottling, labeling, and preparing them for further distribution. Guests can also enjoy tasting all products as well as refreshing cocktails and spritzes from the Aura distillery, and there is a shop within the distillery.

In addition to the shop in Buzet, Aura has another fifteen carefully designed and arranged shops, located in Istrian historical centers, as well as in Rijeka, on the islands of Krk and Cres, and in Split. Besides the mentioned shops, Aura distillery products are available in numerous delicatessen stores, exclusive restaurants, bars, and hotels, as well as in airports.

The family distillery Aura currently offers 24 types of brandies and liqueurs, four types of gin, and 9 types of jams, as well as 18 different types of chocolates. However, the constant desire of the distillery owner Mišel Sirotić for exploration, development, and creation guarantees that even more new high-quality products will soon be available. The quality of the existing products has also been confirmed by experts. The Aura distillery has won a total of 62 gold medals from international competitions in the evaluation of strong alcoholic beverages, ranking it among the most awarded Croatian distilleries.

The Sirotić family has woven their great love for tradition into the unique Museum of Hum Aura, which presents over 1100 exhibits in 11 thematic rooms to visitors in the smallest town in the world.

Aura’s distillery and museum, along with an authentic approach to every product and project, speak of a great dedication to work, tradition, and quality that guarantee the success and further development of the company.
