Talented American actor nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor in the film Elvis, Austin Butler, has officially become a member of the elite family Yves Saint Laurent. As revealed by the company, the actor has become the new global ambassador for the YSL Beauty brand. In his ‘beauty’ debut, Butler poses in the latest campaign for the MYSLF fragrance, and as stated by the company, he embodies the ‘proud, strong, and free in today’s ‘male’ world’; breaking free from clichés and bringing the boldest version of ourselves.

The MYSLF fragrance itself is created by combining seemingly contrasting notes. It opens intensely with a fresh and vibrant scent of bergamot, and then reveals the orange blossom at its heart, which develops into sensual woody aromas. As reported by HypeBeast, with the new men’s fragrance and the appointment of Butler as their global ambassador for the MYSLF perfume, YSL Beauty hopes to break stereotypes regarding masculinity, as well as femininity. Furthermore, the European Commission approved L’Oreal’s acquisition of YSL Beauty from the French company PPR for 1.15 billion euros in June of this year. They concluded that the merger of brands under the YSL Beauty and L’Oreal umbrella would not threaten fair market competition.
