Data on the operations of the most significant Croatian companies from Lider’s publication ‘1000 largest’ is a useful tool for every entrepreneur and manager. From today, it is also available in digital form on Lider’s portal. You can view it at the bottom of the ‘1000 largest’ section, or when you exit this text, you will retrieve the table with a little ‘scrolling’ down.
There are numerous advantages to digital data. With just a few clicks – by entering the name – you can find data on the company that interests you. The search options are also interesting. In addition to revenue (Ina is first, but PPD is dangerously close), you can search this Lider database by other criteria as well. It is thus easy to establish that practically every second company from the 1000 largest has its headquarters in Zagreb (499), and that the poorest county for large companies is Lika-Senj County (four), but also that as many as ten companies from the list are located in the largest economic zone, in Kukuljanovo.
Searching by profit or loss will show that the largest profit is made by Ina (398 million euros), followed by three banks, and that the convincingly largest loss (subsequently) was reported by HEP (779 million euros).
Searching by the number of employees also shows interesting results. Konzum plus remains the largest employer with 9,786 employees (based on hours worked), followed by three state monopolists – HP – Croatian Post (8,722), Croatian Forests (7,761), and HEP – ODS (6,717). Among the ten largest employers is also the fourth state company, HŽ Infrastructure (4,773 employees), and there are also two companies owned by the city of Zagreb – Zagrebački holding and Zagrebački electric tram (which together have 8,569 employees).
In the top 10, there are also two retailers – Plodine and Spar, while the only ‘intruder’ in this state-trade alliance is Zagrebačka banka at the bottom of the top 10. You can discover that 18 companies from the list have no employees. Another 12 companies have only one employee each, and one of them, who works at the Split real estate company Mejaši prvi, reported the highest average net salary – 11,424 euros.
