The government has adopted a Regulation on determining the highest retail prices of petroleum products during a telephone session, which will come into effect on August 16, and the new regime will apply for the next 14-day period.
The new price for gasoline is 1.54 euros per liter, which is three cents higher than now.
Diesel will be sold from Wednesday for a maximum of 1.51 euros per liter, or ten cents more.
The price of blue diesel for farmers and fishermen will increase by 11 cents to 98 cents per liter.
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for tanks will be sold for a maximum of 1.14 euros per kilogram, which is an increase of five cents, the same amount by which LPG for bottles will increase, to 1.70 euros per kilogram.
The government claims that without its measures and with completely free price formation at the level of energy entities’ premiums before the first regulation, gasoline would cost 1.66 euros, diesel 1.67, blue diesel 1.06 euros, LPG for tanks 1.38, and LPG for bottles 2.01 euros per kilogram.
