Applications are open for the Schneider Electric Sustainability Impact Awards

Schneider Electric, a global company in digital transformation of energy management and automation, has opened applications for the second edition of the global awards program, Schneider Electric Sustainability Impact Awards.

The initiative was launched in 2022 to recognize the broad ecosystem of Schneider’s partners for their contributions to creating a more resilient and sustainable electrical world. This year, Schneider, along with partner companies, is expanding the application opportunity to clients and suppliers as well. The selection criteria have also been supplemented to encompass a broader range of electrification and digitalization activities aimed at achieving net carbon neutrality. Applications are open until November 17, 2023, and winners will be announced in April 2024.

The Sustainability Impact Award is being presented this year in new categories:

• “Client Impact”: for partners who demonstrate leadership in sustainability by helping their clients achieve decarbonization goals.

• “Own Company Impact”: for partners who have proven to be leaders in sustainability and decarbonization of their business.

• “Own Company Impact for Large or Medium Suppliers”: for suppliers participating in Schneider’s Zero Carbon project, which aims to halve operational carbon dioxide emissions by 2025 for the world’s top thousand suppliers.

Additionally, Schneider has supplemented the award selection criteria with an integrated approach to sustainable business. The emphasis remains on achieving decarbonization through electrification, reducing energy consumption, and utilizing renewable energy sources. Furthermore, efforts to create the future of electricity 4.0 are being closely monitored, such as strategy development, digitalization, and decarbonization. This includes improving energy efficiency, implementing digital tools and technologies, as well as other examples of best practices and innovations. Besides the valuable recognition, award winners are provided with global visibility that potentially opens doors to new business opportunities.

The application deadline is November 17, 2023, and you can apply here. Before the global award ceremony, a regional final will be held where a shortlist will be selected from all applications. The global winner will be announced in April 2024.

The Sustainability Impact Award for 2023 has gathered a total of 241 applications from partner companies worldwide, with six selected as global winners and awarded for innovations and activities aimed at decarbonization.
