Infranet, a company with years of experience in software development for the logistics sector, is pleased to celebrate the successful completion of its ambitious project – InfraRoute. This advanced software, the result of expert work and innovation, represents a milestone in the logistics sector, addressing key industry challenges: non-standardized addressing, high delivery costs, and increased carbon footprint.
Efficient Delivery
Infranet has discovered that inconsistent addressing can significantly impact delivery efficiency, increasing costs and delivery times.
– Analyzing shipments in Croatia, we found that for many there are dozens of ways to write an address, and for some, there are even hundreds of ways – said Infranet.
This problem, a frequent cause of redeliveries and additional burdens on customer support, becomes a thing of the past with the new software.
The InfraRoute project, part of the EU program ‘Increasing the development of new products and services arising from research and development activities – phase II’, lasted from February 1, 2021, to August 1, 2023, and consisted of two phases. The industrial research phase spanned 15 months, with costs of €213,215.53. During this phase, the product was successfully brought to the fifth level of technological readiness, which was a key step towards achieving the final goal. After the successful completion of the initial phase, the second phase – experimental development – began in May 2022, which continues until the project’s completion. In this phase, InfraRoute achieved the eighth level of technological readiness, confirming a high level of development and innovation within the project. The costs of the experimental development phase amount to €404,870.40.
