Podravka Group: Sales Revenue Increased by Eight Percent in the First Half of the Year

In the first half of this year, the Podravka Group achieved 346.3 million euros in sales revenue, an increase of eight percent compared to the same period last year. The revenue from the Food segment amounted to 265.2 million euros (an increase of 4.4 percent), while the Pharmaceuticals segment grew at a rate of 21.6 percent, achieving revenue of 81 million euros.

The Group’s net profit, under the one-time impact of tax incentives based on the Investment Promotion Act of 19.7 million euros, amounted to 45.2 million euros, which is 18.9 million higher than in the first six months of last year. Excluding the effects of the tax incentive, the normalized net profit of the Group in the first six months was 26 million euros, an increase of 0.4 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

– I am satisfied with the results in the first half of the year despite the fact that the Group’s operations are still exposed to strong increases in energy, raw material, and packaging prices, especially in Food. Despite the calming of market turbulence and actively seeking the most favorable conditions, realized prices are still significantly higher than those we paid last year. I am also pleased with the advances in sales in our foreign markets, especially the first results of cooperation with Atlantic Group, as well as the results of restructuring sales in the Polish and German markets, which will enable greater profitability of sales in Poland, as well as greater presence and profitability in the German market – said Martina Dalić, CEO of Podravka.
