Orbico is building the largest logistics center in Zdenčina, here is when it is expected to be completed

‒ I am pleased that we are here today, where our new distribution center is rapidly being built. This step is of great importance for the development of Orbico and our logistics as well as the overall business. It will enable us to provide higher quality 3PL services to existing and new partners.

This center will be our largest and most modern logistics center of all we have in 20 countries. We have opened similar, albeit slightly smaller logistics centers in Poland and Bulgaria in recent years, and we expect this one to be a driver of development and innovation just like the previous ones, said Branko Roglić, owner of the Orbico group at the celebration of the start of construction of their new distribution center in the Zdenčina Economic Zone worth 40 million euros.

This is a project that Orbico is working on in collaboration with the company Logexpert, featuring the most modern warehouse space with various storage options for goods in ambient and temperature-controlled conditions. The distribution center will initially be equipped with a fully automated shuttle system for servicing B2B and B2C customers, and in later phases, it will include fully autonomous robotic systems that will help employees perform their tasks more easily, quickly, and accurately. About three hundred people will work in this center, Roglić added.

Sustainable construction

‒ Today is another great day for our municipality and the Zagreb County as we open another construction site for an investment that will provide a boost to the economic development of the Municipality of Klinča Sela through new jobs and additional income. When two large companies that are recognizable throughout Europe and beyond come to the area of one municipality in a short period and are making their largest investments of this kind right here, the satisfaction is even greater, commented Miljenko Vučković, the mayor of the Municipality of Klinča Sela.

The company Logexpert plans to build three buildings with a total area of 110 thousand square meters within the Zdenčina Logistic Park, following the latest standards in construction and environmental preservation. Solar panels will be installed on all buildings, producing a total of seven megawatts of green energy.

‒ For years, we have been positioning our county as a desirable investment destination, and projects like this are a sign that we are heading in the right direction. What makes us a promising area for investment is certainly our geographical location and the fact that important European corridors pass through our area. Additionally, significant areas designated for such investments are located right next to the highway, which is very important in terms of traffic as it will not create burdens on local roads, stated Ervin Kolarec, deputy mayor of Zagreb County.

He also reminded that there are about thirty entrepreneurial zones in the Zagreb County where the county has invested around seven million euros so far, and where numerous foreign and domestic corporations operate. The completion of the new logistics distribution center is planned for March 2024, concluded the Orbico group.
