GlobalLogic Acquires Irish Software Company Sidero

GlobalLogic, a digital engineering company of Hitachi Group, has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Sidero, a cloud software services and development company based in Ireland, technologically specialized in the field of communications. According to the statement, this is a strategic acquisition aimed at strengthening GlobalLogic’s services and expanding its presence in Europe, particularly in Ireland. It also represents a strong catalyst for growth in the dynamic communication technology sector.

Sidero’s expertise in technologies such as Radio Access Networks (RAN), Self-Optimizing Networks (SON), Cloud, and Agile development practices is a clear complement to GlobalLogic’s service portfolio. The talented design and engineering teams of Sidero, based in Athlone, Ireland, and Newry, United Kingdom, facilitate the creation of innovative solutions that directly benefit current and future clients of GlobalLogic.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. According to the agreement, Sidero will continue to operate with its existing management and staff as a wholly-owned subsidiary of GlobalLogic. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approval and is expected to close in the second half of calendar year 2023.
