The largest and most modern ice cream factory – specifically, natural artisanal ice cream in the world, is soon to open in Ogulin, as reported by Večernji list on Sunday.

This will be a place that lovers of this timeless delicacy will definitely want to visit because, as the owners announce, in addition to producing 15 tons of natural gelato daily in a production hall of 4,500 square meters, it will also be a place where enthusiasts can watch how this cold delicacy is prepared, taste various flavors, and learn something about this craft.

Namely, one of the most recognized brands in Croatia, aROMA Gelato Experience, is soon relocating its entire production to Ogulin. Preparations are in full swing, and about 30 employees have already been hired who have been undergoing intensive training at the aROMA Gelato Experience Academy for the past few weeks.

However, the story of this large Ogulin project begins in Slovenia, in the suburbs of Ljubljana exactly ten years ago when spouses Tjaša and Primož Ogrizek decided to ‘cook’ the first ice cream themselves, practically in their garage. It was important to them to make it from natural ingredients, without any artificial flavors and ingredients, from fruit sourced from their region.

They have been guided by this idea all along, and with a decade of experience and work, they have created a recognizable brand, the company aROMA Gelato Experience, which is widely known as a producer of handmade artisanal ice cream made from natural ingredients sold in their boutiques in Croatia.

Their strong penetration into the Croatian market has been taking place over the last 15 months; in May, they opened their 50th sales boutique in Croatia, and now they are hurriedly preparing to open a unique production facility in Ogulin, writes Večernji list journalist Snježana Bičak.
