It is no surprise that Elon Musk is not at all happy that his main competitor in the social platform world, Mark Zuckerberg has launched Meta’s version of Twitter, the Thread app. For this reason, not one to be lazy, Musk has threatened – with a lawsuit.
According to the Semafor portal, Twitter’s chief lawyer Alex Spiro sent a letter to Meta’s CEO, Zuckerberg, accusing him of unlawfully misappropriating trade secrets. Or, as stated in the letter, Spiro accuses Meta of ‘systematic, intentional, and unlawful appropriation of Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property.’

– Twitter intends to strictly enforce its intellectual property rights and demands that Meta immediately take steps to cease using any of Twitter’s trade secrets or other highly confidential information – Spiro stated in the letter and further accused Meta of hiring former Twitter employees who allegedly had access to the company’s confidential information.
However, a source from Meta told Semafor that no former Twitter employee worked on Threads.
By the way, Threads attracted ten million users in the first seven hours, and experts predict that the number will grow extremely quickly, especially after Musk introduced a new, unpopular change and limited the number of posts users can read in a single day.
