Fashion Lovers Conquer New TikTok Trend – ‘Soft Girl’ Aesthetic

In recent years, the fashion world has been taken over by micro-trends originating from the platform of all platforms – trendy TikTok. After users (both female and male) demonstrated their interpretations of barbiecore, balletcore, cottagecore, goblincore and other cores, it was time for the ‘soft girl’ aesthetic.

The viral micro-trend ‘soft girl’ is inspired by early 2000s fashion and the sweet and charming ‘kawaii’ aesthetic, with girls and women adopting this trend wearing feminine combinations with a touch of boldness.

The WWD portal explains that followers of this trend prefer pastel tones and feminine patterns such as gingham and florals, complementing their outfits with striking bucket (bucket) hats and chunky shoe models.

In Celebration of Tenderness

Aesthetic lovers also enjoy large puff sleeves, mesh details, and, like fans of kidcore, large hair clips and accessories. As the ‘soft girl’ aesthetic gains more fans, and content with that hashtag receives more views on social platforms, fashion brands like Sandy Liang, Batsheva, Leslie Amon, and even Chanel have adopted the trend.

Cosmetic brands, on the other hand, advise through social platforms on how to elegantly apply eyeliner, blush, lip gloss, and highlighters, and offer temporary tattoos of hearts, flowers, and fake freckles.

‘Soft girl’ undoubtedly celebrates tenderness and femininity and is not reserved only for younger generations but also for millennials who bring a touch of joy and ease into their wardrobes and lives.
