Vujnovac leaves the position of CEO of PPD, succeeded by Slovenian manager

As of July 1, 2023, Energia naturalis will have a new CEO. Pavle Vujnovac will be succeeded in this position by Boštjan Napast.

Vujnovac remains the owner of all companies in the system, but he is stepping back from the operational, day-to-day management of the ENNA group, as well as from the position of CEO of PPD.

Damir Spudić, the current CFO, is also leaving Energia naturalis. Vujnovac and Spudić will take on supervisory roles in Enna in the future, just as they do in other companies and projects where Mr. Vujnovac appears as an investor.

These changes at the top of the group are part of the process of changing the corporate structure and preparing the ENNA group for its first public offering of shares on the capital market (IPO) and an investment cycle worth over one billion euros. Business diversification began more than six years ago with investments in new business segments and strengthening divisions whose operations are fully aligned with the European Union’s goals of achieving a low-carbon environment, which include renewable energy sources, transport and logistics, and food. These processes will be accompanied by numerous personnel expansions and reinforcements.

Boštjan Napast is a graduate engineer in mechanical engineering with many years of management experience in the energy and logistics sectors. He began his career in 1995 as a designer of mechanical installations. He worked for more than 10 years at Petrol, where he advanced from sales representative to a member of the management board responsible for energy, investments, technical development, and quality. He has experience in successfully carried out restructuring, digitization, and process optimization. In 2011, he took over the management of the company Geoplin, which he transformed from a local company into a successful regional company over ten years. At the end of 2021, he became the CEO of Luka Koper, which recorded record business results during his term, despite the economic crisis caused by the pandemic and the war in Ukraine.

At the beginning of the year, Mate Žužić joined the ENNA group as the finance director. Žužić studied in the USA. He was a Fulbright scholar and began his career in Cleveland (Ohio) as an investment banking analyst. He was vice president of the Townsend group, a global real estate advisor and asset manager with $119 billion in advised assets and $24 billion in assets under management. He spent a year as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Zagreb, a global management consulting firm serving a wide range of private and public institutions. Just before joining Enna, he was the Director of Investments for the Lukšić group in Croatia, which is the sole shareholder of Plava Laguna, Adriatic Luxury Hotels, and Excelsa Nekretnina.

Sabina Škrtić remains a member of the management board of the ENNA group responsible for corporate relations and business support and continues her work on building Enna into a modern European green company.

As we reported earlier, PPD and its foreign subsidiaries (PPD group) are exiting the ENNA group and transferring to the ownership of Blue Horizon, which is 100% owned by Pavle Vujnovac, also based in Vukovar.

Antonija Glavaš and Ivana Ivančić continue to lead PPD as members of the management board of Prvo plinarsko društvo.
